Come on Irene (prelude)

It's been as flat a week as I can remember over the last two years hence our lack of water action. But there was always the knowledge that Irene will deliver at some stage.

OK, in her original state as a hurricane over the other side of the Pond, the 'fruits of her loin' were not funny for those on the end of her fury. But as she tracked the eastern seaboard of the US and lost her venom before beginning her journey back across the Atlantic; the prospects over this side had a lot of water users foaming at the mouth with anticipation.

There were some concerns over the more northerly path than preferred she was taking; and the potential for Ireland to get in the way. However, as Sue and I saw this morning when walking the hound down at Gwithian; we needn't have worried.

Now, assuming the wind eases shortly and, bearing in mind it is the Bellies tomorrow; the burning question is, should it be the log or the Bomb?

Let's wait n see huh? ;o)
